Li Mingfeng, from a rural background, lost his father early and was raised by his mother, Wang Xiuqin, who toiled tirelessly to bring up him and his younger sister, Li Xiaoyue. After ten years of diligent study, Li Mingfeng finally got into a prestigious university, but the high tuition fees made him hesitate. Unwilling to burden his mother further, he planned to give up his studies and work at his uncle's construction site, but his mother, upon learning the truth, criticized him severely. Wang Xiuqin never believed her son was such a person, but her sister grew increasingly resentful towards her brother. Ten years later, the villagers pressured Wang Xiuqin to repay the money. They demanded she kowtow for forgiveness if she couldn't pay, not only slandering Li Mingfeng for being imprisoned for a crime but also proposing that Li Xiaoyue marry the village chief's foolish son to repay her mother's debt. Li Siqi, Li Mingfeng's childhood sweetheart, agreed to help Wang Xiuqin repay the debt in order to break off their engagement. However, Wang Xiuqin, for the sake of her children's happiness, kowtowed to each villager. Just as she was about to faint, Li Mingfeng suddenly “descended from the sky,” not only repaying double the money borrowed from the villagers but also grandly announcing a massive investment to revitalize and transform his hometown!
